- Economisers installed to air conditioners
- Use of radiant (spot) heating with infrared
- Spot ventilation and use of intense air filters
- Air compressor intakes moved to cooler locations
- Preheat of combustion air
- Control of excess combustion air
- Heat transfer in boilers for improved combustion
- Return of steam condensate to boilers
- Reduction of pressures in compressed air and steam systems
- Recovery of heat from air compressors
- Elimination of leaks in steam and compressed air systems
- Covering of open tanks
- Waste heat recovery
